Announced further movies based around various Superhero franchises.

Iron Man 2- April 30, 2010

Thor-June 4, 2010

Captain America- May 6, 2011

The Avengers-July 2011

Here's hoping at least two of these movies crash and burn as Pussywood continues to pander to the teen set. Latest news on how there's a lack of balls out L.A way Terminator 4 will be PG13 rated. That's right folks, after three "R" rated movies the Studio isn't even going with a Director's DVD cut and a theatre release, they are going with a cut down piece of crap. Just say no would be my call on this one.

I don't know if we had a different cut to you lot, but only The Terminator was an 18 here; the other two were rated 15. That said, though, you have to be going some to get an 18 certificate these days - even Shaun of the Dead, with all its gore, was only a 15.

Frankly, I think they should make the film as they want it to be and then see what certification falls out at the end. With a franchise like this, deliberately sitting down beforehand and saying "Let's make it suitable for the kiddies" completely kills any creativity and destroys half your options before you even start. It's a stupid, pathetic idea, and they should be ashamed of themselves. They won't be, though.

I get bored of the superhero fanchises, it tends to be the same sort of storyline in every film. I'm yet to see a superhero film that has really wowed me.

It's the films being produced from comics that annoy me, they never seem to be very good *cough*Daredevil*cough*

Strangely it's the darker ones that I like. Underworld (and UW Evolution), Ultraviolet and Aeon Flux all stand out... hang on, I've just realised, I like those because they have leather clad foxes in them.... oh well.....

Even more strangely, I seem to be the only person who really liked "Superman Returns".

But all of the male super-heros seem a little bit camp to be kicking butt. Superman in his underwear. Batman in leather. Spiderman in a body suit.... come on, it's hard to take any of them seriously. Hellboy had potential, but seemed a bit drab.

So, in short, stop making movies about male superheros, make more about scantily/leather clad super-heroines and we're sorted (although the producer of Catwoman need not apply).
